Things I have learnt since I last posted…

1. The lady with the dogs is playing hard ball. The court documents have been filed and she ain’t moving. I might have to take up some of your ideas before too long.

2. The man and I share a very similiar inability to keep a straight face at certain times. Such as when the wandering photographer at the hotel this week tried to get us to pose for a ‘holiday photo’ looking lovingly into each others eyes. It didn’t work.В

3. The bathrooms at the Cabinet Office have the best toilet paper to be found anywhere in the civil service.

4. Sandals is not a good place to be on your own. The man was playing a golf tournament so I stayed at the hotel on my own for the morning. I got lots of sympathetic looks for staff and other guests when I had breakfast alone – I think they assumed that I had had an argument with my partner!

5. Tessanne is a really good performer. I always knew she could sing (she used to back Jimmy Cliff and was good at that), but Sunday was the frist time I’ve seen her perform alone and she rocked.

I’m sure I’ve learnt other things but those are the main ones for me to share with you at this point in time!

I’ve been at Sandals alone for work and nobody gave me the “oh, she’s by herself look”.

Where is the Cabinet Office? I have a pet peeve for toilet paper so I’d love to check it out!

Maybe it was because I was there obviously to enjoy myself on a saturday morning – i didn’t look like I was staying there for work at all!

Cabinet Office is around the back of Jamaica House

I had a friend once in the UK who had a similar probelem vis a vis tenants. He solved it by deligerately defaulting on the mortgage and then being put into a postitin where the tenant ws evicted and it was a forced sale. It was all done in agreement with the mortgage company, but it wasn’t a nice situation to be in.

Is there possibly another flat that you could buy? It might be a good idea to have another look. Not much fun for he person you are buying from, but that is not your fault.

I want this flat!!! It is one I can actually afford in a good area and I have already spent all the money on surveying etc. Legally the woman has no chance as she hasn’t been a good tennent and it is being sold – it just means that it might take slightly longer.

Ok. You actually notice toilet paper quality. Guess someone’s sensitive. Not surprising. Sandals is mainly for couples. Tough old lady.

LOL @ the toilet paper…I thought I was the only one who noticed stuff like that.

Re: the tenant…you can do what my former landlord did when he wanted me and my roommates out: find some derelict people who look like they’re on drugs, invite them over for a weed-smoking session in the backyard. And if that doesn’t work, decide that you want to tear down walls at 3 a.m. while everyone is sleeping.

*sigh* why do people make thing soooo frickin’ difficult.
