I went out for a drink last night at a bar near to my new house (I love living in the centre of the city!! And yes, ‘my new house’ is going to be a common phrase around here for a while, am reckoning at at least twice per post for a month…)
A friend of ours had been for a meal next door so came in afterwards for a drink with his wife and daughter, daughter was about 15/16. I was talking to daughter when the guy from the band came around. They always have a collection for the band on a Tuesday night, and last night was no different. They approached daughter, who looked at them with that sophisticated look that only a 15 year old has (you know the one, they know that they are cute but are not yet too self-conscious etc) and said:
’Oh, but of course I have no money on me – I’m here with men.’
On another note: thanks for all the good house wishes – I’ll invite you all to the virtual housewarming party, all I need to do first is find where camera batteries were packed…

Forgive me if it seems I’m missing something, but if you’re looking for camera batteries, then its a real party you’re having, isn’t it? Aaah – nice.

I am rapidly tiring of that bar which is now near to your home, just perhaps been there too often. The guy that comes around with that large collection goblet got nada from my crew the last Tuesday we went there…the live band really was poor!
BTW, if you are looking for a nice restaurant to try out, tell The Man to take you to Jewel of India in the Marketplace. Nice experience if you don’t mind Indian cooking.

RI: real party will have to wait until i come back from foreign – probably in august some point… camera batteries will allow me to put up photos of my pretty red wall!
I feel like i live close to everyone and everything now! But it is surprisingly quiet so far…
Dr D: I think you should make that suggestion on my behalf!
MB: no pool tables, jazz music instead… think that should tell you where it was!

Will KG. When you go, let me know what you thought of the place and the food.

if is that bar that I think you talking….the one beside that ‘hexpensive’ small restaurant whose owners have the deli place…..I don’t know how anyone has a conversation in there! I found myself having to shout on the couple of times when I went there. You agree Doc?
Also, there was a piano player one night, trying to sing, and he was TERRIBLE!
